Bell rings for students
August 21, 2008

Trinity Schiess, 9, hugs her former teacher Barb Lawson on Wednesday at Needham Elementary School at the start of the first day of school. Alyssa Wilcox, 5, carries flowers to Needham on Wednesday for her kindergarten teacher. Alyssa is the daughter of Destiny Wilcox and Mark Deuel. Adelaide Beasley, 5, gets a hug from her mother, Leanne, before the start of Jayne Griffith’s kindergarten class Wednesday at Needham. Adelaide also is the daughter of Mark Beasley. About 357 students and an additional 100 shared-school students are expected to attend Needham this year.
