Sammy Denham changes the sign at Peerless Tyre Co. as gas prices climb above $4 a gallon on June 9. Peerless usually offers the lowest-priced gasoline in Durango. Heather Holt fuels up at Peerless Tyre Co. on Monday, when unleaded gas dropped to $3.89. After a year of continuous price increases, the cost of gasoline has finally started heading downward this month.
